Based in St. Louis, Missouri, we specialize in documentary-style photography, capturing candid moments and real emotions.
We all remember awkward family portraits from our childhoods. Forget about that kind of staged perfection, we would much rather capture the messy, beautiful truth of your family — from the flour-dusted cheeks of your little chef to the way your partner's eyes crinkle when they tell a story. The result? A timeless collection of photographs that tell your family's story more authentically than traditional portraiture.
When it comes to events, our goal is to create storytelling images that capture not just what a moment looked like, but also what it felt like. Our documentary approach to weddings, especially, takes a lot of pressure off the newly-weds, who can relax and enjoy their big day rather than pirouetting through dozens of poses over and over again.

Ryne & Alana
Once upon a time, a pair of hobbits fell in love … then decided to start a photography business.
Ryne (he/him) grew up in the mountains just outside of Asheville, North Carolina, in the small town of Brevard. There he fell in love with celebrating the small moments of life that often go unappreciated. He began his photography career as a photojournalist and quickly began photographing weddings and family portraits.
Alana (she/they) is excited to share her skills with her hometown of St. Louis. She went to undergrad at Missouri S&T in Rolla, where she was the theater make-up artist when she wasn't on stage herself. She frequently brings these skills to shoots for staging, styling, and has been known to lend a hand at events to help things run smoothly. Alana loves uplifting clients, making them feel powerful, and capturing their most authentic selves.
In their free time, you can find Ryne and Alana reading together at home with their menagerie of pets or playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends.
